Funny how ownership claims there is "communication,” yet they’ve plastered the place with signs barking orders at us. Not a single positive word — just negative, rude, condescending lists of what we’re forbidden to do.
If this is their idea of communication, it’s insulting. We’re adults, not children who need to be yelled at by a piece of paper. So yes, technically there has been communication — nothing but a wall of negativity reminding us exactly what they think of us.

“Sign, sign, EVERYWHERE a sign"
Is it time for www.bmhvoices.com to go away?
Absolutely—the moment leadership chooses to act with the basic common sense and responsibility residents have been asking for. This site exists for one reason: because the community has been left in the dark.
Residents have made it clear what would eliminate the need for this platform overnight:
Hold town halls regularly — real engagement, not token gestures.
Operate with full transparency — no more closed-door decisions or selective information.
Put residents first — before dividends, before profit, before convenience.
None of this is required by law. It’s required by integrity.
Whether this website remains or disappears is entirely up to you, not us.

An open letter sent tonight to the President of the BMH Board of Directors.
Welcome to Stalag 13. The only thing missing now is Colonel Klink and a few armed guards. Ownership must have gotten a bulk discount on locks, because they’ve slapped them on everything that isn’t nailed down. The lockdown is officially underway.
At our Burro Mountain version of Hogan’s Heroes, the heroes have gone missing—and so has common sense.
Can’t use much of anything anymore. Forget a paper plate or a plastic fork—apparently the rising cost of disposable items is the new excuse for treating residents like thieves. Respect for the people who actually pay the bills? Gone. Replaced by padlocks.
Let’s talk money.
A paper plate costs two cents.
Apparently, residents aren’t even worth that anymore.
What is happening to our beloved Burro Mountain Homestead? It’s starting to look like corporate America, where dividends matter more than people. If ownership raised leases by just $20, residents could have access to coffee cups, plates, utensils—everything—without locking up the entire kitchen like Fort Knox.
But instead of talking to us—heaven forbid—they locked everything. Are we scary monsters lurking around, waiting to steal a paper plate? Or is that dividend check just more important than the community they’re supposed to serve?
Customer service from leadership? An absolute joke.
Do we sound mad?
Hell yes.
We’re tired of being ignored—and sooner or later, this is going to backfire.
Some wonder why we started BMH Voices.
We hope the picture is getting clearer with every passing day.
What’s next?
Lock the ACTIVITY CENTER?
Lock the BATHROOMS?
Lock the LAUNDRY ROOM?
Lock the LODGE?
Might as well just put up a GATE & LOCK at the entrance and go for a vacant RV Park !!
Keep going like this, and BMH 13 will have guard towers and dogs before long.

EVERYWHERE!
What is the structure of BMH Voices?
A single point of contact (SPOC) structure ensures that all communication flows through one designated individual, maintaining strict separation between team members so they do not know who one another are. This model is often used when absolute discretion is required, as it limits the visibility of participants and reduces the risk of information leakage. By having only the SPOC manage interactions, relay updates, and coordinate tasks, the organization can uphold 100% confidentiality, protect sensitive identities, and create a controlled environment where information is shared solely on a need-to-know basis.

Free speech in America supports a vibrant democracy by allowing individuals to express ideas, challenge authority, and participate in open debate, which helps drive social progress and protect minority viewpoints. However, this freedom can also create tension, as harmful or misleading speech—such as hate speech, misinformation, or extremist content—can spread widely and influence public behavior in negative ways. The challenge lies in balancing the protection of open expression with the need to prevent real-world harm, a tension that continues to shape legal, political, and cultural debates in the United States."
In summary, free speech and free expression can be challenging at times, but they are essential for genuine freedom and a healthy society.

Some in SILVER CITY call BMH "The Nazi Camp". Oh course we dont agree. But why would they even say that? We find that very disturbing."

New Mexico law prohibits a landlord from retaliating against any resident who is in compliance with their rental agreement and the Act.
These actions are illegal if done because a resident exercised their lawful rights.
A resident may use retaliation as a legal defense in an eviction or possession action and may be entitled to additional remedies under the Act.
Owners may legally raise rent or adjust services only if the changes are uniform—applied equally to all similarly situated residents—and not targeted at anyone for protected activities.
If you’ve exercised your rights in any of the protected ways listed above, SCR cannot legally punish, threaten, or intimidate you. Any attempt to do so would expose them to legal risk and strengthen your protections.
Sincerely,
Beginning immediately, all general updates and information will be posted exclusively on our website. To respect the time, privacy, and preferences of our friends and neighbors, we will no longer send broad email updates. Individual email communication will continue when a matter involves a specific resident or requires direct, personal outreach. Thank you for your understanding as we streamline and honor our community’s communication process.
We are choosing a more peaceful, kinder, and compassionate approach in all communication with SCR owners and board members. Our goal is to calm tensions, encourage understanding, and create a space where everyone feels respected. By speaking gently, listening openly, and engaging with patience, we hope to foster a more harmonious environment where concerns can be addressed and progress can be made together.

Peaceful activism is a powerful force for meaningful change, grounded in the belief that progress can be achieved without violence. Through methods like community organizing, creative expression, open dialogue, and public demonstrations, peaceful activists raise awareness and inspire collective action. By appealing to shared values and encouraging empathy, this approach fosters understanding—even among people with differing perspectives. Peaceful activism demonstrates that lasting transformation is possible through courage, patience, and a commitment to nonviolence.
The First Amendment to the United States Constitution protects one of the most fundamental rights we have as Americans: the freedom of speech. This right allows every individual to express their opinions, beliefs, and ideas without fear of government punishment or censorship. Free speech covers verbal speech, written communication, art, symbolic gestures, peaceful protest, and digital expression. It ensures that diverse viewpoints can exist—even those that are unpopular or controversial. BMH Voices stands for open dialogue, informed discussion, and the protection of every community member’s right to speak freely and respectfully.
